Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds policy

Effective date: 6 September 2026

INVOLT batteries and chargers are high-value electrical products supplied for specific vehicles and equipment. Returns are not automatically accepted. Every request must be submitted to INVOLT for authorisation and is assessed according to the reason for return, product condition, installation status and the terms of the original order. Do not send or courier a product before receiving written return instructions.

This policy explains how INVOLT handles cancellations, delivery problems, product faults, authorised returns and approved refunds. It should be read together with our Warranty Policy.

1. Confirm your order and package contents

Before ordering, confirm the required voltage, capacity, dimensions, equipment compatibility and package contents. Ask INVOLT for assistance or request a quotation if you are uncertain.

Battery packages differ by model. The “What’s Included” information on the product page, accepted quotation or order confirmation identifies exactly what is supplied. Depending on the product, this may include:

  • The battery model and capacity ordered.
  • A compatible charger where the product is expressly sold as a kit including a charger.
  • Cables, connectors, brackets, display units or other accessories expressly listed with the product.
  • Available operating, installation and safety information.

On-site installation is not included unless it is selected and paid for separately. Items shown in photographs for illustration are not included unless they appear in the written package contents.

2. Inspect before installation

Inspect the packaging and product promptly after delivery or collection. Before connecting, charging or installing it, confirm that the model and all listed accessories are present and that there is no visible damage.

If the parcel is visibly damaged, the wrong product was supplied or something listed is missing, retain the packaging, take clear photographs and contact INVOLT promptly. Do not install or use the product while the report is being reviewed.

3. Cancelling before dispatch

Contact INVOLT as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order. A standard stocked product can normally be cancelled before dispatch, but cancellation is not guaranteed once dispatch or order preparation has begun. Special-order or configured products may not be cancellable after they have been ordered, prepared or modified for you, and INVOLT may deduct reasonable costs already incurred.

4. Incorrect, damaged or missing goods

Where INVOLT supplies the wrong product, the product arrives damaged or listed components are missing, we will assess the report and arrange the appropriate collection, completion of the order, replacement or refund. The customer will not be charged return transport where INVOLT or its delivery provider is responsible.

5. Product faults reported within six months

If a product develops a fault within six months after delivery, contact INVOLT. Where inspection confirms a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use, INVOLT will offer the applicable repair, replacement or refund option and arrange the return process.

INVOLT may inspect or test the product to determine whether the problem is a product defect or was caused by incorrect installation, incompatible equipment, misuse, external damage or another excluded cause. We will explain the assessment outcome before proceeding.

6. Problems reported after six months

Eligible INVOLT LiFePO4 batteries carry a five-year limited warranty unless another period is stated for the product. An approved warranty claim will ordinarily be handled by repair. If repair is not reasonably possible, INVOLT may replace the product with the same model or a product of comparable specification and value.

Warranty conditions, exclusions, transport responsibilities and repaired-product coverage are explained in the full Warranty Policy. Read the Warranty Policy.

7. What happens when a battery problem is reported

  1. Stop using or charging the battery if it is swollen, unusually hot, physically damaged, leaking, smoking or otherwise appears unsafe.
  2. Contact INVOLT with your order number, product model, serial number and a clear description of the problem.
  3. Provide photographs or video, installation details, charger information and available battery-management-system data when requested.
  4. INVOLT will first attempt safe remote checks where appropriate and will then provide inspection or return instructions if required.
  5. After assessment, INVOLT will explain the cause found, whether the claim is approved and the repair, replacement or refund remedy that applies.

Assessment and repair times depend on the fault, parts and replacement-stock availability. INVOLT will provide progress updates rather than promise a fixed turnaround before the product has been assessed.

8. Safe return of lithium batteries

Lithium batteries require safe handling and may be subject to courier or dangerous-goods transport restrictions. Do not post or courier a battery without written return instructions from INVOLT.

The battery must be switched off where the model permits, protected against short circuit, securely packaged and transported using the method specified by INVOLT. A damaged, swollen, leaking, unusually hot or recalled battery requires special instructions and must not be transported through an ordinary courier service.

9. Installed, used and configured products

A product that has been installed, used, electrically connected, altered, damaged, specially ordered or configured for particular equipment is not eligible for a change-of-mind return. Product faults and incorrectly supplied goods remain subject to assessment under the relevant sections of this policy.

10. Installation-service cancellations

Contact INVOLT promptly if an installation appointment must be cancelled or changed. If travel, specially ordered materials or installation work has already begun at the customer’s request, INVOLT may charge reasonable costs actually incurred. If INVOLT did not complete the installation service as agreed, contact us so that we can inspect and correct the work or agree on another suitable resolution.

11. Refund processing

Submitting a return request does not guarantee approval. Approved refunds are normally initiated to the original payment method within 10 business days after the returned product has been safely received, inspected where required and the return approved.

Bank and payment-provider processing times may delay when the funds appear in the customer’s account. EFT refunds may require verification of the account holder’s banking details.

12. Start a return or report a problem

Contact INVOLT before sending any product. Please provide your name, order number, product model and serial number, the reason for the request and supporting photographs or video where relevant. We will review the request and provide written instructions where a return or inspection is authorised.
